There are very few things I could tell you about this day that would make me sound like an overly emotional hot mess because I count both Josh and Melissa as not only clients, but as my friends. I suppose that in theory, one might feel more pressure photographing the wedding of a friend but these two were wildly calm and so deliriously happy in their love that all I felt all day was elation.
We started at their Richmond, VA home and then headed out to have a quick bite and beers at one of their favorite local Richmond bars, Final Gravity. We did their formal portraits in and around some of Richmond’s best parts and then headed back to their home to have their ceremony and reception with all of their loved ones.
Another of Melissa’s friends was the officiant and when I tell you there were so many tears? Kleenex would have made a killing that day 🙂 As always is the case – I like to remind you that your wedding day need only to be the thing that you and your person desire it to be. DIY. Hire a planner. Overdoes on florals. Have none. Whatever it is that you want? THAT is what your day should be.
